Professor Huangxian Ju, born in November 1964, received his Bachelor of Science, Master and PhD degrees from Nanjing University in 1986, 1989 and 1992 respectively, and was then employed as a faculty member by Nanjing University. He worked as postdoctoral fellow at Montreal University in Canada from 1996 to 1997 and then was employed as a full professor at Nanjing University in 1999. He was awarded with a National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2003, Changjiang Scholar Professor by the Ministry of Education in 2007, the National Key Talents in The New Century and the chief scientist of the 973 project in 2009, and the special government allowance of the State Council in 2011. He is director of analytical chemistry teaching and Research Office (1999-2005), director of Ministry of education Key Laboratory of life analytical chemistry (2009-2011),  director of State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science (2011-2024) , and now director of State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science (restructured in 2025), a fellow of the International Electrochemical Society, a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a fellow of the Chinese Chemistry Society.

 

He was the director of the innovation research group of NSFC, who is also the honorary deputy director of the analytical instrument branch of the China instrumentation society, the director of the electroanalytical chemistry Professional Committee and the deputy director of the chemical sensor Professional Committee; Director of biosensor Professional Committee of China Association for analysis and testing, member of the Standing Committee of POCT branch, member of molecular spectroscopy professional committee, nucleic acid analysis branch and microfluidic analysis branch; Deputy director of the analytical chemistry discipline committee of the Chinese chemical society, deputy director of the organic analysis professional committee, and member of the chemical biology professional committee; Deputy director of the professional committee of biosensor biochip nanotechnology of the Chinese society of bioengineering, deputy director of the professional committee of analytical pharmacology of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, vice chairman of the strategic alliance for technological innovation in the biological detection and monitoring industry of the China Association for the promotion of industry university research cooperation, vice chairman of the China new material development industry alliance, and member of the sugar biology branch of the Chinese Biophysical Society; Executive director of Jiangsu society of chemistry and chemical engineering, director of analytical chemistry professional committee, deputy director of mass spectrometry Professional Committee; Vice president of Jiangsu analysis and Testing Association. He is Editors-in-chief of Front. Chem.: Anal. Chem., Targets, and Life Analysis; associate editors of Sensors, J. Anal. Testing, EngMedicine, Universal J. Electrochem., Telomere & Telomerase, and J. Cellular and Molecular Genetics; Editorial board member of Bioelectrochemistry,BMEMaT, Electroanalysis, Trends Anal. Chem., Biosensors and Bioelectronics: X, Anal. Lett., Chemosensors, Science in China: Chemistry (2006-2018), Acta Chimica Sinica, Chin. J. Chem., Chin. J. Anal. Chem., Open Biomarkers J. and other journals.

 

His research direction is molecular diagnosis and bioanalytical chemistry, and the main research fields include immunoassay, cell analytical chemistry, nanobiosensing, bioimaging and clinical molecular diagnosis. He has published 1005 papers (944 papers in SCI journals, and 725 papers in journals with IF>5), and authored 65 patents, 6 Chinese and English books, 20 chapters. Up to 2026.1.1, his research works have 53715 citations in SCI journals (51732 by other authors) with an h-index of 113 (Google Scholar h-index 12460092 by other authors).

 

He won the Young Chemistry Award (1996) and the Liang Shuquan Fundamental Research Award in Analytical Chemistry (2009) from the Chinese Chemical Society, the Young Scientist Award of Jiangsu Province Government (2001), and 2022 Advances in Measurement Science Lectureship Awards of American Chemical Society. He was awarded the first Leici Outstanding Achievement Award of Chinese Chemical Sensors in 2019; the first prize of Natural Science Prize by the Ministry of Education for 3 times in 2001, 2009, and 2013; the first prize(3 times in 2011, 2014 and 2016), the second prize(4 times in 2008, 2009, 2019 and 2022) and the third prize(2 times in 2015 and 2018) of Science and Technology Award by Jiangsu Province Government; the first prize of Science and Technology Award by Chongqing Government (cooperation) in 2017, the second and third prize of Science and Technology Award by Guangxi Government (The second affiliation) in 2020 and 2021, the second prize of Science and Technology Award by Shangdong Government (The second affiliation) in 2024. He also won the first prize of the Science and Technology Award of the China Association of Analysis and Testing in 2008, 2009, 2014, and 2023 the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education (second Completer) in 1995 and 1998.



Huangxian Ju, male, born in November 1964, from Jiangsu. In 1986, 1989 and 1992, he received a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and a doctorate degree from Nanjing University. He has been working at Nanjing University since July 1992. He was appointed as an associate professor in 1993 and a professor and doctoral supervisor in 1999.
