1961年2月生。1983.7毕业于南京大学化学系分析化学专业,1989年获南京大学理学博士学位,导师为高鸿院士。1990.12晋升为南京大学副教授,1996. 4晋升为教授,1998.4批准为博士生导师。1992.1 - 1993.1美国Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC)博士后,1995.7 - 1995.9美国SERC高级访问学者,1996.6 - 1996.10美国 SERC 合作科研,1998.12 - 1999.1香港理工大学应用生物与化学技术系合作科研,2001.8 - 2001.11美国加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校劳伦斯伯克利国家实验室高级访问学者,2003.12 - 2004.8 美国德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校化学和生物化学系高级访问学者(导师为Allen J Bard 教授)。
先后主持与承担国家自然科学基金、国家教委霍英东青年教师基金、国家教委留学回国人员基金、江苏省自然科学基金和国家重点实验室开放基金等科研项目20多项,已在国内外核心杂志发表学术论文180多篇,其中SCI 论文100多篇。已培养博士8人,硕士12人,指导博士后1人。曾获1991年度国家自然科学三等奖(示波滴定)。“天然水中铝形态和浓度的分析与测量” 被评为国家教委霍英东教育基金会成立十周年(1996年) 优秀成果。 2001年获第二届教育部高等学校优秀青年教师教学科研奖励计划 “高校青年教师奖”。
